Orkut Tip: Saving Images From Album Of Friends

Now all of you must’ve noticed that Orkut has made it impossible [for many users ] to save images from your albums.You can save the image easily if you are using IE , Firefox and Opera   , as these are the only browsers I have in my PC currently and I didn’t bother to test this in Linux so i don’t know about it.

If you want to save an image from Orkut, click and drag the image from the album to a folder or your desktop.

For Firefox ,

1. Drag the Photo to somewhere [ Click the photo & Don't release the mouse button and then release it in another folder or desktop] ,Like shown in the screen shot

2.Then you will get a file with extension  ".j" .Previously , that is before Orkut made this change , you would have got .jpg file so that’s the extension we need now.Just right click on the file and rename it to [Some_Name].jpg .You’re Done!

For IE, Its more easy  drag the photo to somewhere you want the photo to be saved [a folder ] and then it will ask whether you need to copy one or more files to the folder, Simply click yes and you’re done .

For Opera, You just have to right click and save the image because the limit imposed by orkut isn’t working in Opera as of now.
